ClearsightChange your life

OK. It’s my turn to change my life. But where do I start?

At ClearSight we envision 5 phases in your journey to clear sight...

Step 1: Your Consultation
At this visit we will answer all of your questions:
Am I a candidate? Which procedure is best for me? What can I expect throughout the process? Are there side effects or trade-offs?
At your consultation: We will evaluate your eyes, especially your corneas and pupils You will learn that at ClearSight, we utilize only the latest proven technology. We will help you understand your choices and options. You will meet with one of our doctors for individualized evaluation and discussion. By the end of your consultation, you will have enough information to intelligently decide if…you’re ready to change your life.

Step 2: Your Comprehensive Examination
At this visit we will obtain all of the information we will need in order to perform your surgery. We make ask you to be out of your contacts for a while before this visit. Further, we will: Ascertain that your eyes and prescription are stable. Thoroughly examine your eyes to make sure there are no ocular diseases or conditions that could be problematic Obtain precise measurements of your prescription and analyze your visual pathway Make sure you understand the strengths and limitations of your chosen procedure At the end of your comprehensive examination we will re-verify that the plan we have formulated is ideal for you. We will then outline for you the next steps and schedule of events leading up to your surgery day.

Step 3: The Day of Your Surgery
On this day, your life will change. Our surgical procedures are designed to yield the best possible results with the highest level of safety. This is all achieved in a comfortable, compassionate setting with highly trained and sensitive staff. Your surgery will take about 20 minutes. Your entire time with us will be about an hour and a half. Dr. Lusby will personally perform your entire procedure and talk you through each step along the way. He has a very relaxing and calming demeanor. It will all be over before you know it…and you life will be changed.

Step 4: Your Aftercare
Immediately after surgery, we will ask you to go home and get to sleep; medication we give you will help with this. The next morning, we will examine your eyes to make sure that you are recovering normally. We’ll get you started on your drops and very likely tell you that you can go back to your normal activities with very few restrictions. A schedule of follow-up visits will be arranged to insure that we can monitor your normal recovery. The vast majority of our patients achieve 20/20 vision by the time their eyes have healed.

Step 5: Your Yearly Eye Exams
Even though you can now see without glasses or contacts, it is important to have routine annual eye exams to rule out the development of eye diseases like glaucoma or cataracts, although having LVC doesn’t increase the risk of developing these types of problems.
